If I was a man
I would have earned at least 10% more over the last 20 years. I would most likely be mortgage-free. That makes me angry.
There are also far too many women in terrible relationships and unsafe situations because they are financially trapped. This devastates me.
Until we can fix sexism and abuse, I am taking a practical approach. We need to close the gap ourselves, in our own way, with our skills, smarts, and sass.
This is why RichGirl was born – to help create a generation of courageously wealthy women who know what they want and have a plan to go and get it.
All women should learn this
I have three daughters who I want to be prepared to live their dreams without having to stress about money. In fact, I want them to have a positive relationship with money, have it work for them, and not drag them down.
I believe ALL women should learn this and I want to share what I have learned from over 20 years in the financial industry.
Growing up in a large, loving family, the only arguments I remember between my parents were over money. While my mother was an amazing homemaker and money manager, she didn’t teach me how to budget and money was always scarce. I still tend to hoard rather than spend.

In 20 years, I want our daughters to be able to tell their daughters two things:
1. I was shown how to be money-wise and I can show you too.
2. I feel financially safe and it feels fantastic.
